Strategic planning is a fundamental tool in organizational management, as it allows defining the purposes to be achieved, as well as the appropriate resources and strategies to do so. From the interaction with the Pueblos Originarios Coordinados para el Bosque y el Turismo (POCBOTU), the absence of a structured organizational process was identified, an issue that has resulted in a reactive approach to their work agenda. This led to the recognition of the need to carry out a strategic planning workshop, aimed at helping clarify the group’s organizational processes in alignment with their objectives and to establish concrete actions and monitoring mechanisms to ensure their implementation. The main outcome was the development of a new proposal in which values, lines of action, and specific activities were established.
