Bacterial resistance in animal production is a growing global issue, making it essential to study new strategies using non-antibiotic treatments. The objective of this study was to evaluate, in vitro, the effectiveness of tea tree essential oil, carvacrol, and thymol against bacteria causing bovine mastitis. These substances showed effectiveness above 70% in most of the strains evaluated compared to the positive control (antibiotic), suggesting that they could be used in pharmaceutical formulations for disease control.
